About Suzanne

Suzanne Gilbey had achieved great success personally, professionally and academically before she decided to start her PhD in Public Health.

"I did my first two degrees straight after school and then joined the workforce as an occupational rehabilitation consultant," she says. "I then stopped working full-time to have children."

Suzanne studied a Bachelor of Science (UWA), postgraduate diplomas in education (UWA) and OHS (Curtin), and a Master of OHS (Curtin).

She is now researching the links between indoor air quality and cardiometabolic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke. She also teaches undergraduate and postgraduate OHS students at Curtin.
