About the course
The Animation and Game Design major within the Bachelor of Arts degree allows students to specialise in the engaging area of visual narrative communication through the means of animation design and development, as well as game design and development.
Theory and the fundamentals of visual narrative construction are learned and applied through exploration of 2D and 3D animation, visual effects production, game design and development of virtual and immersive world design.
The major has strong connections to local industry, as well as national and international industries.
The superhero genre is only becoming more popular, with audiences praising franchise game-changer Captain America: Civil War and gory smash hit Deadpool. To work on one film would be any fan’s dream, but for Curtin alumnus and Visual Effects Supervisor Brendan Seals, it’s part and parcel of his daily job.
